I have not been one to stay in touch with most of the classmates from High School. Truth is, I never really felt like I fit in during those years. Jerry was one of the few I would include as a friend during my time in high school and I would run into him from time to time in my late 20s and early 30s. I have yet to attend any of the recent classmate reunions as I live in another State but it always saddens me to see another classmate or someone that attended Greenhills pass away. It is a reminder we are all getting closer to the end of this life and to those who still have friends from so long ago, cherish them. You are fortunate. Live life as best as you can and try to make the world a better and more welcoming place.
It's funny how hearing of someone's passing can bring back long forgotten memories, but when brought back we realize someone was pivitol in who we became and what we ended up doing in life. David was a neighborhood friend. He was the guy that helped me learn to play guitar by showing me Beatles songs/chords. Perhaps I would have found someone else to teach me at some point but David was the one that got me started. I will always be grateful for that.
