Mike, you are right!  Ellen's version of Teddy's story is terrific ( and she was using her first cell phone!)!  DeeDee,  that message about Cincy brought back so many memories!  Nancy, got your phone message.  I have been so busy with school.  Please keep in contact.  I would like to meet at Skyline again.  That weekend was one of the best for me of this difficult summer.  Doug, so glad we took the tour of Spring Grove!

Dee Dee and Mike, thanks so much you guys for posting those great reminders of good ol' Cincinnati.  I would have to argue about the goetta, tho... Avril's is pretty darn good -- even tho Glier's does put on the GoettaFest.  (Is it the only one in the country?)  Anyway, it was a hoot to read them all.  I have one to add:  You know that Graeter's puts a whole new meaning to ice cream flavors with the word "chip" in them.

Thanks guys for the kudos on the movie of Teddy.  I took it using my trusty little Kodak 10.3 mega pixel camera w/ a Schneider lens, tho I did have my first [ever!] cell phone with me.  (Cheryl, I don't think I could have figured out right then how to take a video with my phone!)  That was such a fun time!  I just wish I lived closer to all you guys so we could get together on a regular basis.  Speaking of which, if anyone in the class is going to be out East in the middle of October, please let me know.  Irene Phelps (aka Rene Michaels) will be at my house in Wrentham, Massachusetts from October 14-19.  We would both love to meet up with any and all classmates in this general area then.  You can contact me on my *brand new!* cell phone at 508-954-8204.  I know a few folks out this way, but surely there must be others lurking in the woods or cities somewhere....

Dee Dee,
Absolutley love the Cincinnati list! My aunt who lived in Massachusetts never could spell cincinnati correctly.Always the double "T' and it made us laugh every time her letters ( remember letters!!) came.
Unfortunately, I have been away from Cinci longer than I lived there so I do not know all the traffic lingo. I still don't know it here in Chicago either, because they use nicknames, too, for all the highways.

My memory of Jerry Springer was sitting next to his table at the Gorilla deli pre-check scandal, when he was still mayor! I thought I had seen a major celebrity!

Also, only Cincinnatians argue over the best chili in town, too.. I vote Skyline! ( sorry to Bob Poulous' family connections to Goldstar)

Thanks for the memories.

Everything was great starting on Friday night!

The food, music, setting and company was perfect.  The reunion committee did a great job and they should be very proud of their hard work!  If I didn't live in Texas I would have loved to have helped with this.

I agree, I think we should do this every year so I hope the committee is hard at work!  You know, we are getting old and time is wasting!

The web site is fabulous...thanks Mike for a terrific job on this.  It is a great way for all of us to keep in touch.

Marcia and I have a bunch of pictures to upload if we ever get around to it!

Great pic of Dee Dee and Dorsey on here!

Hi everybody!!!! I miss all of you, big time. Had a blast at Skyline. Hey .... gotta go with Skyline or I could end up in surgery! (LOL) Although, Dixie, and Cincinnati Chili are Greek recipies, too. Empress was a Macedonian family and my Papou is buried right next to them in Springgrove! They were friends in the day. There is a story there ..... but that's another video, right? LOL! (I love Empress, too)

Ellen ... I had a great exchange with Rene on FB the other night. (you too) Now I'm putting it all together ..... it's Irene and I thought that's who it was but I wasn't sure. That blows my mind! (ok, I admit it was already blown!!)

Nancy, Cheryl and Doug ..... can't wait till we all get together, again! Thanks for the laughs .... I needed that!! Ellen ... thank you for the nice video ...... I have no hair!!LMAO!

Hey Mickey boy ...... you are A OK in my book! Dude ... you are the master of the web!

When are we getting together?

BRING ON THE CHAPS, MIKE!!!!! LMAO!

I can't remember how the chaps thing got started here, but I do have a big mouth at times.  A picture does exist, Ellen and Nancy can verify that.  I can only say it happened because of a woman, a long motorcycle ride on a very hot day and alcohol.  Now if there was also a pick-up truck in the story I'd have all the elements to a country song  LOL!

I received a phone call from Nancy this afternoon, she's on her way down from Chicago, but will only be here until Sunday.  Anyone up for a Skyline Chili get-together???  Teddy's buying!

09/05/10 02:25 PM #116

Marty Robbins

If Teddy is buying - I want to see pictures

09/07/10 09:46 AM #117

Nancy Thirkield

Yes, Ellen and I can verify the chaps picture. I was willing to pay the dollar for the pic, but was able to see it for free! It was worht a dollar for sure!! Maybe even two!! Mike, you still have it going on! We thought a spread in Playgirl, or AARP, would be nice!!

I am sorry I didn't have time to drop in uninvited to your party, Marty, but I was packing and cleaning on Saturday at my Dad's house. Dave C. was great and came over to help me build boxes, and pack. Then Dave, Terry B. and their wives, Dad and I all went out for dinner. Then I was back to cleaning out cabinets at Dad's. Got up Sunday, packed a bit more, did some errands with dad then drove back to Chicago. VEry productive weekend for me. But I hope next time I am in town I will have time for Skyline with everyone. I would love to get down once more before Dad actually moves to Maple Knoll. WE'll see.
Anyone coming to Chicago, give me a shout!

It's only September and I miss you guys already!  Big, luscious hugs to everyone!

Nancy,  I think AARP would be more my style.   Maybe that's what I'll do for my next mid-life crisis.   Hopefully next time your in town some of us can get together.

Ellen, I couldn't agree more.  I can't remember when I've more fun than at our four day reunion party.  Lots of great memories with great people.    And I can't wait to make another Teddy video!

09/12/10 10:58 PM #120

Ellen Keiter

I have to say you guys all feel like family now.

09/16/10 10:02 AM #121

Nancy Thirkield

Yes, I want to make another Teddy video next time I am in town. But after seeing the chaps picture, I am pretty sure we could add a few scenes of that outfit into the video. We may not be able to shoot the video at Skyline.. but what the heck! :-)

09/16/10 06:45 PM #122

Michael Mills

I'll wear my chaps if Teddy wears that Speedo!

09/16/10 08:58 PM #123

Ted McKay, Jr.

Nancy ..... just read that you were down here a couple of weeks ago! NUTS .... sorry I missed you, but I haven't been on here for a while!

Still working on that speedo profile. After I loose a hundred pounds and get back in shape .... watch out, Pioneers ..... LOL! (yeah right, as Marty Ray would say)

Hey .... I would have gladly bought Skyline if I had known we aere gonna get back together so soon! But look at all the money I saved! LOL!

Nancy ... I hopw everything is going OK for Dad, etc! I would have loved to see you all.

I can't believe I missed seeing Terry Bettingfield at the reunion! Jeeeeeze ......! I'm goning to try and hook up with him before too long. Hell ... he's a customer of mine, too! I did their kitchen floor several years back.

Can't believe how time is flying by ..... at the spped of "life"!!

Hello,
I had a lovely talk with Mr. Bob Brown who taught sophomore and ? junior English. He was a stellar educator. He was trying to remember a student, a blond girl, who was in Life With Father.
Does anyone have a clue?
Barbara

The only girl I can remember being in Life with Father was Lou Bray, but she was a redhead.
